Hi everyone,
Hope your Halloween was the ideal amount of spooky. Last week I put together a Halloween inspired episode of the Twang Club Radio Hour featuring Murder Ballads old and new.
There was an issue at the station so it didn’t air live as planned. So it should be airing again tomorrow (11/3/26) at 8pm on WMCB 107.9 around Greenfield and TuneIn and it’s available to stream anytime on Mixcloud. So mute the talking heads doing election coverage and listen to something less scary.
I might have a new episode next Tuesday but I’m not sure. I’ve been rushing to get them in every week so I might take some time off to get ahead.
I’m also going to start a new monthly show featuring my favorite new songs from the last month. This one will be only on Mixcloud and really more of a playlist with none of my blathering between songs. The show will go live at 8pm the Thursday before Bandcamp Friday. If you aren’t familiar with Bandcamp Friday it’s a (generally) monthly day when the website Bandcamp waives their fees and artists get all the money from each order. If there isn’t a Bandcamp Friday any month there will still be a show the first Thursday.
I’ve been trying to include more new music in the regular show but it doesn’t always fit with the theme. There’s so much coming out every week that I figured I could throw something together once a month.
However for the next couple weeks I will be more focused on not one two DJ gigs coming up.
On Saturday Nov 21st I’ll be making my debut in Shelburne Falls at one of my favorite places, Floodwater Brewing.
This is a special early show which conveniently leads into a show by local bluegrass band Seven Mile Line. So pace yourself and get a double dose of twang while enjoying some great beers.
Before that I’ll be spinning at Honky Tonk Tuesday at New City Brewery on 11/10. I’ll start spinning at 6pm. Lexi and her band will go on around 7 and then I’ll play between sets and after. There’s free food, a full bar and plenty of room to dance.
The next day is Veteran’s Day and I don’t have work so I’ll stick around as long as the staff and customers want to hang.
I’m still catching up on blog posts for episodes of the radio show but they’re all on Mixcloud. Don’t worry you don’t have to join MixCloud to listen. You can just click through all the annoying prompts.
Hope to see you all out there and if you’re listening to the show please let me know.
