Sorry it’s been awhile since I posted/emailed.
The 2nd Working People’s Blues Edition of Twang Club went well at the Rendezvous. I knew I was taking a chance scheduling something on Labor Day but enough folks showed up for it to be a success.
I don’t currently have any Twang Club nights scheduled right now but I’m working on lining one up in the Northampton/Easthampton area as well as Shelburne Falls. If you have any ideas of places that might like some twang please let me know or send them my way.
Not quite a Twang Club show but I’ll be spinning next Tuesday 10/13 at the Honky Tonk Tuesday that Lexi Weege has been hosting at New City Brewing in Easthampton. So if you’re down that way or feel like going to easthampton please come by, it’s been really fun so far. There’s free (yeah free!) food, two-step lessons and Lexi’s band is too notch. I’ll be spinning starting at 6p and then going until the dance lessons, and then again between sets.
Here’s a photo from the most recent one but we will now be inside.
This Homer and Jethro record was one of the first records I ever bought on vinyl when I was 13 or 14. Which should tell you something.
It’s pretty short notice but there will be a new episode of the Twang Club Radio Hour tonight 10/6 from 8p-10p.
You can listen live at
107.9 FM if you’re near greenfield
TuneIn http://tun.in/sfOIG
This episode is focused obn funny and sort of sunny and maybe a few corny songs. Maybe it’ll cheer you up a little.
I am behind on uploading the archives of the last few episodes and even more behind on Blog Posts but I think I’ll have time to get that done this weekend.
I may also try posting new episodes live on MixCloud starting next week. I plan on sticking with the radio station for awhile at least but I’m curious to see if I get any more listeners that way.
As always thanks for listening, hanging, reading, and twanging along with me and help me spread the twang by telling a friend.
